3 Wide variety of sizes, inconsistent quality
Posted by HR on 21st Mar 2022
We had a wide range of very large and healthy stems and a few very small "twigs". At first count we thought the bundle was a few short until we counted the little scraps. Overall quite inconsistent in quality and size. Mortality rate seems to be a little higher than expected so far, especially with the tiny guys.

5 Fast grower

This currant was a great product in the 2020 sale. It is growing slower in the full sun location, but the ones with a bit of shade have quickly become 5 by 5 feet in just 2 years.

Some grew to over 5' by late September. Several bloomed and drew bees and humming birds.

5 Hummingbirds love it
Posted by Joe Z on 11th Nov 2020
The red flowering currant stock was the highest quality of any deciduous plant that I have purchased from KCD. Grows quickly, 4-6 ft tall/wide by 2nd year. Seems to prefer a bit of shade/moisture and is slower growing in sunnier/drier spots. The pink flowers in early spring are spectacular and popular with bees and hummingbirds.
