Lovely root stock- had to dig larger planting space- but active new growth on recent plantings looks great. Love establishing these shrubs for medicine, pollination, and wildlife habitat.

Starts were much larger than the rest of the items purchased. Bare roots broke very easily making tamping into place very destructive to roots. The crown already had much budding growth. I’m hoping these are fairly resilient.

8 of 10 plants died within the first 6 months. One of the surviving was eaten to the ground by deer then sent up shoots in late September. A true fighter..

I planted all 10 in the greenbelt behind our house after we cleared out all the ivy. Even with good care, only one produced a small amount of growth, and soon it also died. I was very disappointed.
